ABOUT
ME

Trusted Brisbane Bookmaker
I believe it’s important to know who you are doing business with. And as I would love for you to open an account with me, I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Eric Phillips, I commenced my career in the Racing Industry as a Bookmaker’s Clerk in 1964. The passion I had for horse racing had been instilled in me by my father who had a Dairy Farm near Gympie. He attended the Gympie Turf Club race meetings regularly whilst I was growing up. When I moved to Brisbane to commence my working career, I managed to get a job as a Bookmakers Clerk on the Bag and also on the ledgers. This led me to apply for a Bookmakers Licence in 1986 when I started my career at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club. In 1988 I moved to Eagle Farm and Doomben Racecourses. It’s now more than 30 years on and I’m one of the longest standing Bookmaker’s in Queensland. I continue to field every Saturday and midweek meetings. Over the years I also developed a computer system for Bookmakers to record all their Betting activities. I also moved from manual Betting Boards to TV Displays – bringing Bookmaking completely into the 21st Century.
I look forward to doing business with you soon.
Regards, Eric
